Conference interpreter and professional translator
I was born in Italy and I have lived in the Middle East, England, and, since 2020, between Italy and Brazil. My professional career began in 2007 after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in interpreting and translation from the Istituto Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori (Higher Institute for Interpreters and Translators) in Rome, followed by a master’s degree in conference and liaison interpreting organized by the University of Trieste and held in Turin, and then in 2012 by a two-year specialization course in conference interpreting at the current UNINT in Rome, as well as various study stays (ESIT in Paris and ETI in Geneva, Westminster University in London, McGill University in Montreal, and the CCIC-Cambridge Conference Interpretation Refresher Course for professional interpreters in England).
Working in this field requires a high level of linguistic competence in at least two languages, a deep knowledge of the various cultures involved, and the ability to adapt quickly to different linguistic registers and topics. It is necessary to manage stress and maintain a high level of concentration for prolonged periods to ensure smooth and accurate interpretation.
I stand out for always ensuring a detailed preparation for the assignments, my willingness to travel even for extended periods, and my flexible schedule.
